2019 Wedding Trends

  1. Accents of Black

Black is one of those classic colours that will never date.  When used creatively black can add an incredibly chic design element to your wedding celebration. Many brides prefer a timeless wedding style and by including accents of black in your colour scheme you are guaranteed of a sophisticated and ultra  luxurious look. Black paired with chrome will replace black and gold.

 2. Indoor Weddings

Whilst outdoor weddings and Pantone "Greenery" was on trend for 2017, the wedding trend for 2018 is for indoor weddings in clear span A frame marquees placed in unique locations or unusual spaces like museums or libraries that offer lots of natural floor to ceiling light.

3.  Coloured Candles

A very clever way to introduce colour to your wedding reception table scape is through the use of coloured candles! We love this 2018 wedding trend  and the dramatic effect that can be achieved by using colourful candles to accentuate your wedding colour palette. We loved the way Epanoir Flower Studio  used black candles for an African themed luxury birthday celebration we coordinated at The Conservatory .

4.  Living Bars and Potted Florals

Taking the "Botanical" trend from 2017 one step further,  the 2018 wedding tend incorporates fresh, live florals into different aspects of the wedding decoration . From fresh garnishes for gin bars, to potted plants as part of the ceremony and wedding reception decor, this trend is an interesting twist on bringing the outside inside!

5.  Dark Moody Florals with lots of Texture

From Pantone colour "Greenery" with a focus on green botanicals in 2017, it is fabulous to see colourful, yet dark and moody florals as a 2018 wedding trend . Bridal bouquets had some texture last year but this years wedding flowers are even less structured and incorporate a far greater play with texture and contrasts.

6.  Laser cutting, Perspex and different Print Mediums

Laser cutting has been taken to the next level with entire table cloths being laser cut to add interesting texture to wedding reception table scapes and Perspex is a popular print medium for anything from menu's to seating charts and name place holders. The degree and level of customisation has become much easier with the advances of printing and laser technology and we think this trend is going to continue to evolve!

Luxury weddings in 2018 are bespoke and personalised with fully designed and custom-made decor items and edible foods that double up as place name holders! From custom-built wedding ceremony backdrops, to different bar menus for pre-reception and the wedding reception with food-pairing bridal couples are striving to create wedding celebrations that are unique to them as a couple.
