Shabbat dinner in a private home

Ursula Forrest - Monday, October 22, 2018

Boutique Concepts recently had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a Shabbat dinner in a private home in Cape Town. Leor and Suzanne's son celebrated his Bar Mitzvah earlier that day and they were entertaining friends and family from South Africa and internationally.

The Shabbat dinner was the first function that Leor and Suzanne were hosting in their new home and we wanted every aspect of the evening to be a reflection of who they are as a family.

Leor and Suzanne's home is situated near the foot of Table Mountain with exquisite views of the Mother City and their uber chic and stylish home is an entertainers dream!

Our brief was to create a stylish, intimate evening with delicious food and beautiful, understated, chic elegant decor.

The Field Kitchen devised a delectable menu for the adults and a separate child-friendly menu for the under 12's.

Epanoir Flower Studio added the finishing floral touches and candles to a dark palette of greys, blacks, gold and white which complemented Suzanne and Leor's home and was also masculine as the celebratory dinner after the Bar Mitzvah.

I loved planning this very special celebration and Shabbat dinner for Suzanne and Leor and would like to thank the team at Shake and Serve for their excellent bar and waitering service and a huge shout out to Coral from Epanoir Flower Studio and Darryl and his team at The Field Kitchen for an utterly sumptuous and delicious three course dinner.
