2014 – The year of true Romance

This year sets the scene for weddings that are softer, gentle, more lush, more opulent yet more heartfelt, definitely more intimate and classically timeless – think modern day Downtown Abbey & The Great Gatsby!

This seasons colours

Colours for this season – pink is back in gentle shades and soft tones of blushes, nudes and peaches! 

Elegant Patterns

Patterns are gentle and soft, lace, stripes, florals and trellis designs – understated & elegant they add a unique touch, a statement that is yours!

Romantic Flowers

Flowers are abundant, romantic, soft & lush. Imagine Peonies or small fragrant garden roses mixed with hydrangeas and strands of pearls or sparkling beads. Flower garlands are becoming popular again draped over doorways or used as runners down the centre of long tables.

Sparkling shimmering Cakes

Cakes are decadent adorned in glitter and shimmers of gold and silver with flavours driven by the season. 

Uniquely illustrated invitations

Invitations are becoming smaller (5cm x 7cm)  and even more personal with personal illustrations done by artists commissioned especially to draw scenes and images specific to the bride and groom or wedding theme.

Themed Music

Music – live bands are making a comeback! Choose music that suits your theme or add an element of surprise with a saxophone or brass band playing music from your favourite hits playlist. 

Hot Menu’s

Menu’s have an eastern influence with chili and spices inspiring chefs to create dishes that are hot & sexy!

Personalized, local wedding favours

Wedding favours – uniquely personal and based on the destination the wedding is taking place. Instead of a traditional wedding favour, place a welcome gift in the hotel room of your guests (local hand-made soap) or a post-wedding thank you (Tea & biscuits or scones with home-made jam)

The Service Style is that of “approachable elegance” Elegantly clad waiters in black tie, white gloves, impeccable service that is again under-stated. Food is served Family-style & is more interactive – bread boards with exquisite cheeses, dim sum on platters.
