Our Weddings - Sean and Felicity

Every time I have the pleasure of planning and coordinating a wedding, I say this one was my favourite. I've come to the realisation that I have just been fortunate enough to have the most amazing bridal couples! Felicity is my fur babies vet and when I offered to help plan her wedding, I had absolutely no idea just how hectic her life is as a vet!

Combined with long hours of work, Sean and Felicity also bought a new house which meant that their lives were fairly stressful! Despite this, our meetings were always filled with teasing and laughter, testament to them as a couple and I loved being part of organising their wedding!

Sean and Felicity chose their gorgeous wedding venue, Mont Rouge a working fruit farm in Tulbagh which perfectly reflected their style as a couple! They both wanted an elegant yet relaxed and fun-filled wedding for their family and friends to be able to celebrate and enjoy every moment with them!

Felicity looked absolutely beautiful and it was a pleasure to see how relaxed she was on the morning of her wedding surrounded by her sisters and bridesmaids!

Mont Rouge in April was lush and green and beautiful and their wedding ceremony was held under the branches of age old weeping willow trees. We could not have perfected the setting!

The decor brief, elegant farm chic meant we had lots of fun creating a combination of picnic style outdoor lounge pockets, farm chic cocktail stations and rustic lounge pockets.  The magnificent backdrop of the Ceres mountains and the natural beauty of Mont Rouge was simply breath-taking! Coral from Epanoir Flower studio added her special touch with simply designed Protea and foraged fynbos arrangements and we added plenty of candles for a soft, lovely romantic ambiance.

Felicity's very talented and creative sister designed the stunning seating plan which was a lovely and very personal touch. Sean and Flick also designed their own wedding invitations and guest name place cards adding another level of personalisation to their special celebration.

Not being big fans of traditional wedding cake, Sean and Flick opted for a stacked cheese cake and Cindy (part owner of Mont Rouge) created a fabulous cheese cake for their harvest table which was served with delicious canapés and for drinks guests could experiment with a range of condiments at a mix your own gin bar!

The wedding reception was held inside an old barn farm barn and once we had all the fairy lights and candles lit, it looked truly beautiful. Cindy, a lady of many talents prepared an absolutely sumptuous buffet dinner and the best home-made pavlova with cheese cake filling I've ever eaten!

Hewitt Wright, wedding photographer extraordinaire captured every detail of Sean and Felicity's wedding and was an absolute dream to work!

Capricorn music, the wedding DJ's were right on the mark with their music and Sean and Flick and their guests revelled the night away to some seriously groovy tunes. Sean and his groomsmen definitely had some funky dance moves up their sleeves!

It was such an honour planning your wedding Sean and Flick and I wish you both many years of love and happiness!
