TESTIMONIALS

It's always reassuring to read about what previous guests have to say about their experience at Cape Codogan. We encourage our guests to leave their comments on Trip Advisor, but have added some here for your ease of reference.

We stayed for 5 nights in June 2014 while on our honeymoon. We paid for an upgraded room and it was beautiful. Tucked into a quiet neighboorhood with great restaurants and a cool view of Lion's Head. The breakfasts in the morning were great. The staff could not have been more helpful. We took their suggestions on dinner locations a few nights, and we loved eveywhere they sent us. Parking was readily available, and the staff was always forthcoming with directions (though we had a GPS to help us). It is extremely close to Table Mountain and Lion's Head, so if you're planning to hike it's a great place to stay. We'd love to return some day!

The staff at Cape Cadogan are truly one of a kind. They go above and beyond to help you and are generally just lovely people especially ciska. Excellent local restaurants. Breakfast Is yum especially the flap jacks! Room 6 is gorgeous with comfortable bed and twin rainforest showers. The magic touch was a hot water bottle in our beds and a special treat before bed. Every evening they have a cake/ treat to enjoy complimentary. The even gave us a bottle of champagne when leaving as it was our honeymoon. Highly recommend!

Great service at this boutique hotels. They were super helpful helping us plan activities, places to see/go, restaurants, etc.
The breakfasts were AMAZING! Honestly, the best.
Our room was beautiful, the shower was a dream (huge walk in shower - the size of a normal bathroom with 2 shower heads). we even had a cute patio outside. the beds were comfy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommended it to my parents/aunt/uncle who all stayed there as well.

It was a perfect honeymoon location.

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights during our honeymoon.
The room was very spacious, very clean and fresh.
The service was second to none. We arrived quite late on the first night, but they were able to book us a very good wine tour for next day.
To our surprise, the hotel arranged champagne and rose petal bath for our last night. Thank you so much for the great stay.

We stayed 5 nights at The Cape Cadogan from 26th-31st March as the first stop on our honeymoon. We were in room 10 which although being at the top of the stairs over the reception and a standard room was absolutely perfect. We even had a view of Table Mountain out of the room! The room had everything we needed with a welcoming food plate and one night our bed was decorated with roses and a bottle of champagne left for us.

The staff were the best part of the hotel and the front desk could not be more helpful. Be it with trips or restaurant recommendations, they were always happy to book them for you. Right down to the service at breakfast. The breakfasts were great and set you up for the day. There was a small but perfectly sized buffet selection and then you ordered off a menu and your cooked breakfast made to order.

The location is a bit out of Cape Town (7 min taxi ride to the Waterfront cost about R70), but we liked it as you weren't in the touristy area. There were plenty of fantastic restaurants close by that we walked to on most nights and felt extremely safe. The hotel were always on hand to book taxis though if you didn't fancy it.

Overall a fantastic small hotel in a great location for us and would highly recommend it for those on a romantic break/honeymoon.
